Charles Ryan Bourgoyne, my son, was born in Hattiesburg, Forrest County, Mississippi. He grew up and attended school in Columbia School District, Columbia, Mississippi. While growing up, Ryan was a sports enthusiast and played a variety of sports including baseball and soccer. He played baseball with the Dixie Youth Baseball League for about 7 years and with Columbia High School 9th Grade Baseball for one season. He also played drums in the school band for Jefferson Middle School and Columbia High School. He graduated from Columbia High School in May, 2001. After high school graduation, he was employed with Power Plus Outdoor Power Equipment for about 8 years before suffering a back injury. Ryan enjoyed nearly anything outdoors- archery, fishing, golf, hunting, and 4-wheeling were among his favorites. Though he doesn't participate in the activities that he once did, he still enjoys watching football and the N.O. Saints are his favorite team.
